Idle coincedence?

I've been driving around for two days with basically no PCV valve or anything plugged into the oil box (don't ask, I messed something up, proper tool bought, problem solved!) where the PCV valve goes.

During this time, my idle has gone as low as a lopey 600rpm. It usually never goes below 800rpm.

Coincedence?

Its the ECU compensating for the "would be" PCV gasses in your system. That's why I advised you to reset the ECU because another SI performed this mod w/out resetting the ECU and his idle fluctuated as well. The ECU takes time to establish values into its registers, that's why its just faster to reset them.
